Upcoming Transport Canada Civil Aviation Safety Seminars

Attendance will satisfy your recurrent training requirement as per CARs Standard 421.05 (2).
These seminars are free.

3rd floor auditorium, 4900 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON
(one set of traffic lights north of the Yonge Street/Sheppard Avenue intersection, north of the 401 highway)
Please bring photo identification with you for entry into the building

Wednesday January 21, 2015 – "Laser Attacks" & "Pilot Decision-Making and Risk Management"

Georgian College, Founder's Building (B), One Georgian Drive, Barrie, Ontario L4M 3X9. The seminar will run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Chris Stevens (NAV CANADA Area Control Centre Shift Manager/Tower Manager for CYOO/CYKZ) will give a short presentation on Laser Attacks ("When Aircraft are Targeted by Laser Pointers"). A Transport Canada Civil Aviation Safety Inspector will then provide a scenario-based safety presentation covering a variety of normal, abnormal and emergency decision-making scenarios geared towards reducing flight operations risk. This interactive presentation will sharpen your decision-making skills and increase your awareness of flight risks.
